Reduce spam and distractions
Filter unsolicited and bulk email before it reaches users' inboxes, freeing up time and reducing noise.
ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS / EMAIL SECURITY
Unwanted email wastes time, while phishing and malicious attachments put your organisation at risk. Webcore's managed email filtering service checks incoming mail before it reaches your mail server, using our independently operated filtering cluster.
WHY EMAIL FILTERING?
Webcore adds a managed security layer in front of your existing mail platform, reducing unwanted messages and giving administrators better visibility into how email is handled.
Filter unsolicited and bulk email before it reaches users' inboxes, freeing up time and reducing noise.
Apply layered filtering against suspicious messages, phishing attempts, malicious attachments and other recognised email threats.
Investigate blocked or delayed messages with logs, quarantine and configurable sender policies.
HOW IT WORKS
Your domain's incoming mail routes through Webcore's self-hosted filtering cluster. Messages are inspected before acceptable mail is relayed to your existing mail platform. Changing email hosts is not required simply to add filtering.
Webcore handles the filtering infrastructure, routing configuration and day-to-day service management, while your organisation continues using its familiar email accounts and applications.
Incoming messages are directed through the filtering service using your domain's MX records.
Messages are evaluated using spam and threat detection policies.
Accepted email is forwarded to the destination mail server; suspicious messages can be held for review.
Review message logs, statistics and delivery issues without searching through raw mail-server logs.
PRACTICAL EMAIL SECURITY
The service supports flexible policies for different organisations rather than forcing every domain to use identical rules.
Layered message checks help block spam, phishing and recognised malicious content before delivery.
Review quarantined messages and release legitimate email when necessary, subject to assigned access and policy.
Customise sender and recipient rules to reduce false positives and control unwanted sources.
Search filtering logs, review message outcomes and examine traffic and threat trends.
BUSINESS CONTINUITY
Where enabled and appropriately configured, incoming message queueing can hold mail during a destination server outage and retry delivery when the server returns. This provides an additional layer of continuity without replacing your mailbox service.
Webcore operates the filtering layer separately from your primary email system.
Track messages awaiting delivery to help identify downstream interruptions.
Route accepted mail to your existing compatible email server or hosted mail service.
OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL PROTECTION
Beyond inbound protection, the underlying platform supports additional capabilities that can be included where suitable and specifically agreed.
Inspect outgoing traffic to help identify compromised accounts, reduce abusive sending and protect sender reputation.
Supported archiving configurations can provide searchable retained mail for operational and retention requirements.
Outbound filtering, archiving and extended continuity are not assumed to be included in every service package; availability depends on the agreed configuration.
LESS ADMINISTRATION
Instead of maintaining a separate spam-filtering platform, signature updates, delivery routing and policy management, use a managed service backed by Webcore's own filtering infrastructure.
It is designed to complement your existing mail service and can scale as your domains, users and protection needs change.
A managed filtering platform removes the need to administer your own gateway cluster.
Use filtering records and delivery queues to investigate missing or delayed messages.
Configure routing, access and policies for your mail provider and business requirements.
