Users and access

The Panel uses scoped access rather than assuming every signed-in user can see every site or infrastructure setting.

Site access

A user can gain access to a site through an explicit site assignment, a legacy node assignment or an administrative role for the tenant/account that owns the site.

The same access rules are used by global search, so a site that is not visible to a user is not returned as a search result.

Server administrators

A server administrator can manage sites and users within the tenant/account they administer without receiving platform-wide infrastructure permissions.

Platform administrators

Platform administrators can manage the control plane and infrastructure-level settings such as hosting nodes, network configuration, Fail2ban and updates. Documentation for those areas is hidden from non-platform users.

Delegating access

Grant the narrowest scope that matches the user's job. Site-specific users should not receive node or platform privileges solely for convenience.

When removing access, remember that WordPress administrator accounts inside a site are separate from Panel accounts. Revoking Panel access does not automatically remove a WordPress user.
